In my newspaper on May 19, 2013 the following news (propaganda) article by
Sandy Bauers of the Philadelphia Inquirer appeared.
Signs of climate change hit
resident's doorsteps
It seems that after hurricane
sandy struck some homes (built on low lying sand bars on Delaware Bay) have the
residents alarmed that water seems to be encroaching on their home-sites. No
other cause besides global warming, such as erosion or sinking sub surface
structure, is offered by the author. One owner said "This isn't something that's
coming, it's here. We just happen to live in a place that will affect us
sooner." Doesn't the Bible say something about building your house on shifting
sand? But I digress. This area is swamp land and like many other such
places world wide they often recede over time. Take New Orleans as an example or
the ancient city of Alexandria Egypt which is now a scuba diving site. But these
people think that this problem is being caused by increasing sea water levels
caused by global warming.
OK lets consider their theory.
The ancient seaport city of Ur in southeastern Iraq was once at the mouth of the
Euphrates river. Due to silting of the river mouth it changed it's course
centuries ago and the ruins of that city are now many miles from the Persian
Gulf. Was that caused by global warming or a rising sea level? in Turkey the
ancient seaport of Ephesus has likewise removed itself away from the Aegean Sea.
Ostia, the ancient seaport of Rome, was actually buried by silt until it was
excavated in modern times. Yes these are opposite problems but does anyone
think about the fact that rivers deliver millions of tons of silt into the seas
every year? Glaciers move huge amounts of rock into the Oceans. Starting in
Holland men claimed new land from the sea by building dykes or using fill dirt.
This continues today from Dubai to New York City. We sink ships, dump our
garbage and pipe our sewage into the sea. So are the seas rising? Yes they must.
All this is but a drop in the bucket you say. Well that is all the sea level
rising indicates and it isn't caused by global warming.
So does global warming exist? If
it doesn't then it is surely cooling because it never stays constant. We need to
get used to the fact that moving plates of the earth's crust have always altered
the sea coasts. Volcanoes and earth quakes cause islands to rise and sink. The
removal of ground water and oil also causes land to recede. Mankind is not
totally innocent of damage to the planet and we should strive to minimize it.

climate change is man caused. The truth is God is in control and there is
nothing that we can do about it. Jimmy Huffman
